David Muir (born August 25 1948) is a famous American anchor, journalist and reporter. He is most well-known for his show World News Tonight. Viewed by millions of viewers, David Muir's show is known for its gossipy celebrity videos as well as animated gestures. Made In America is his Emmy award-winning show. He was Diane Sawyer's primary replacement anchor until he was appointed anchor at ABC World News Tonight. In the past, he has covered many ABC News primetime specials including Breaking Point Heroin in America. He has reported on news across the globe, including in Gaza Egypt Iran Somalia Japan Peru Ukraine Haiti. His accolades include several Edward R. Murrow Awards in addition to honors by the Associated Press.
